synopsis: INT gl_dimension (OP n, OP partition, OP dim);

description:

Calculates the dimension of the representation of GL(n) labelled by the partition. If the number of parts exceeds n, then an ERROR results. Note that each irreducible representation of GL(n) is associate to one labelled by a partition with not more than n parts (and indeed to one with less than n parts).
